From 1 October 2026, eftpos, Mastercard, Visa, and American Express have announced no-surcharge rules for card payments in Australia. If your venue offsets card fees at the checkout today, that lever disappears. We quote rates priced for the surcharge-free era, so the change lands in your rate card, not in your queue.

What venue finance teams ask before moving card volume.
Can we surcharge to recover card costs?
Not for eftpos, Mastercard, Visa, or American Express card payments after 1 October 2026 under the networks’ announced no-surcharge rules. We quote a rate priced for that change and scope least-cost routing where it genuinely lowers the underlying cost.
How fast do takings settle?
Settlement timing is confirmed in your quote and agreement. For event operators we scope it against the trading window so cash flow works during the event, not after it.
Who sets the merchant terms?
The merchant agreement, including rates and terms, is issued by the acquirer. We quote in writing, walk you through every line before you sign, and hold the relationship with service.
Can pay-by-link handle deposits and vendor fees?
Yes. Secure links by email or SMS cover deposits, invoices, and vendor fees without a terminal, and land in the same settlement view.
